Geology and Hydrogeology

Our team of professional geoscientists are experienced in the detailed hydrogeologic characterization of sites throughout the U.S. with particular emphasis on locations in Texas and Oklahoma.

Comprehensive groundwater characterizations are routinely performed for site studies completed by Biggs and Mathews.  Studies include regional geology and hydrogeology determination; site stratigraphy including correlations of complex facies; interpretation of multiple groundwater zones; interpretation of water level measurements; evaluation of groundwater flow direction; and calculation of hydraulic conductivities of complex lithologies.

Geology and Groundwater Services

Hydrogeological Analysis/Studies

Comprehensive groundwater characterizations consisting of regional geology and hydrogeology, site stratigraphy including detailed correlations of complex facies, interpretation of individual and multiple groundwater zones, interpretation of water levels, groundwater flow directions, and hydraulic conductivities of complex lithologies are routinely included in site characterization studies.

Groundwater System Design

Our geologists, hydrogeologists, and technicians are experienced in the detailed characterization of the geology and hydrogeology of sites throughout the United States.

Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting

Routine and non-routine groundwater monitoring services at more than twenty landfills in Texas and Oklahoma including background, detection, and assessment monitoring events. In addition to routine regulatory groundwater monitoring reports, we prepare alternate source demonstrations and assessments of corrective measures, as well as corrective action monitoring and evaluations. We evaluate analytical results, perform statistical analyses, prepare reports, and manage large volumes of analytical data generated by groundwater monitoring. Our professional staff coordinates with the lab and client to ensure the regulatory reporting schedule and budget are met.

Fault Studies

Using site observations, published data, and industry standard software evaluate the subsurface characteristics for faulting potential.
